They each had a stocking, Sophie's was Disney Princess, Benny's classic Disney. The excitement was palpable as I brought their stuffed stockings into view.
The pups each got a heap of treats, biscuits and cookies, dog sausages, a bully, and a three foot long chew. Without opposable thumbs the needed some assistance, but they did a lot of the work themselves.
Sophie truly despises opossums, not as much as she hates squirrels, but up there. Her favorite Christmas toy was an opossum. She began violently shaking it about, then, when she thought she had killed the vermin, I would tug on the tail, essentially resurrecting said vermin. Sophie would then begin shaking it again. This cycle went on for a while, until I finally let the opossum rest in peace.
Benny just likes toys, especially those that make noise, and wanted us to throw either of his toys a few times, then sit down, hold the toy with his paws and squeak incessantly.
The best photo we could capture of the opossum predator.
All in all, the weenies enjoyed their belated Christmas very much, and are continuing to fill their tiny tummies with treats and our ears with the sounds of squeakers.
